Simple Chicken Breast Honey Marinade

The chicken breast honey marinade is a very easy recipe. Besides being quite delicious and simple to prepare, it can be used as an alternative for people that have health conditions like hypertension. It is a well known fact that consuming a high amount of trans and unhealthy saturated fats can endanger your arteries and heart.

The dish is a great choice as people with high blood pressure should consume good cholesterol sources and avoid the bad cholesterol ones. Boneless chicken breasts have a very low amount of unhealthy fats and the extra virgin olive oil is known to posses several properties that reduce plaque accumulated in the arteries.

Cooking and preparation time:
40 minutes


3 boneless chicken breasts
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 
2 tbsp pure honey (not syrup)
1 garlic clove (minced)
1 cup low sodium chicken stock
¼ tsp onion powder
ground black pepper (to taste)

Baked chicken


1- Season the chicken breasts with the onion powder and a bit of pepper.

2- In a pan or crystal recipient, place: garlic, extra virgin olive oil, pure honey and chicken stock. Mix them well.

3- Put the boneless chicken breasts in the marinating sauce.

4- Refrigerate the chicken overnight to fully marinate.

5- Use the rest of the extra virgin olive oil to grease a baking mold and carefully place the chicken.

6- Set the temperature of the oven at 325°F (163°C) and bake for 30 minutes.

7- Then turn the chicken occasionally, for example every 10 minutes.

8- In a small pan, place the marinating sauce and cook for 5 minutes.

9- Pour a bit of the cooked sauce over the chicken breasts and enjoy.
