The Water
Diet - How to do it
You can use the water diet to lose weight and improve your health at
the same time.
In recent years people have tried many diets and
different techniques to achieve their appropriate weight.
Most of the time people have lost a lot of weight using diets,
sadly it doesn’t last long. The greatest mistake people do when trying
to lose weight is to look at their dieting efforts as something
temporary. They have to realize that if they want it to last they have
to keep going at it. The only way to establish a habit is too keep
doing it every day until it becomes a part of your life.
The water diet
is a bit different from any other diet and you can certainly make some
modifications to suit your needs.
This diet consists in exactly drinking water. That sounds very simple
but there are a few details that you must know. The diet requires
drinking approximately 64 oz of cold water a day. The best way to do
this is to spread the amount in 8 glasses of water of 8 oz during the
day. Do not try to drink it all at once as it can harm you.
You are probably thinking why the water has to be consumed cold? The
answer to this is quite simple.

Your body will use energy to heat up the water to its normal
temperature which is about 98.6 Fahrenheit degrees. Using that energy
to heat the water will burn up several calories. The colder the water
the more calories will burn; however, you have to be careful not drink
it extremely cold as it can be harmful.
The water used has to be
preferably distilled.
The reason for this is to be able to remove the toxins from your body
in the most efficient way possible.
Drinking the recommended amount of
water will help your kidneys purify your blood which can aid in
preventing conditions like kidney stones and hypertension.
One of the best things
about the water diet is that you do not necessarily have to make
alterations to your meals in order to use it.
One modification you can do to increase the calorie burning power of
the diet is to use water fasting. As you can imagine it means no eating
for a day and you can only drink the required amount of water. Doing
this will burn a great deal of calories and the detoxification effect
on the body is even more powerful.
You can use water fasting for 2 days a week (at maximum) in an
alternating manner. Do not use the fasting more than a day in
a row as it can weaken your body significantly.
Talk to your doctor before considering the water fasting.
