What is stage 3 hypertension is one question that easily arises in the mind of anyone suffering from high blood pressure. Like you many people know a normal blood pressure reading is 120/80 mmHg anything above that is considered high blood pressure or hypertension. 

The high blood pressure condition means that the amount of pressure to make the blood run through your body blood vessels is high enough to be dangerous. This high pressure can affect the internal organs like the heart and the brain.

The first number in a typical reading of blood pressure is the systolic blood pressure and the second number is the diastolic blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure refers to the pressure exerted when the heart is contracting and the diastolic pressure refers to the pressure exerted when the heart is expanding. The hypertension condition is commonly known as the “silent killer” that is because it normally won’t present any symptom until is too late. Only by checking your blood pressure periodically you will know if you are experiencing this condition. The hypertension condition is divided into several stages that determine the severity of your high blood pressure.

Causes of Stage 1 Hypertension

The different stages of hypertension will tell you how dangerous your hypertension really is and what kind of treatment is more adequate for it. Stage 1 hypertension range from 140/90 to 159/99 mmHg. This stage is the common type of hypertension. Stage 2 of hypertension involves a reading of 160/100 to 179/109 mmHg is more dangerous than that stage 1 hypertension. What is stage 3 hypertension? This is a very dangerous stage which has a reading of 180/110 to 215/125 mmHg. Avery small percent of the people suffering hypertension falls in this category. In this stage heart and kidney damage becomes more evident and the eyes blood vessels can suffer from small hemorrhages.

How Treat The Different Stages Of Hypertension

If you are suffering from hypertension you must know there are many ways to deal with every different stage of it. Stage 1 hypertension can be treated using some minor medications, diuretics and mainly a lifestyle change. If you are suffering from stage 2 hypertension you will require stronger medication to lower the blood pressure. Stage 3 will require immediate doctor assistance. Preventing high blood pressure is the best way to deal with it.

Life style changes are indeed the most important factor to lower blood pressure and preventing it from happening. A healthy exercise routing leading to lose weight is very important to achieve good health. Reducing alcohol consumption is a must if is possible no alcohol at all is even better. Above all a healthy diet is the best way to prevent that high blood pressure. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables is the best way of eating. Avoid eating meat and dairy products because they are very high in saturated fats which are very dangerous to your body. Remember that to live long you must be healthy.
