Passion Fruit
Vinaigrette Recipe
Ingredients:
3 passion fruits
1 tablespoon of organic honey
2 tablespoons of brown mustard
¼ cup of grapefruit juice
1 ½ cups extra virgin olive oil
You can add additional seasonings like garlic, celery seed, coriander
or chopped mint leaves to suit your taste.
Directions:
1- Cut the fruit in half and scoop out the sweet flesh.
2- Place the pulp into a blender, add the honey and brown mustard.
3- Puree for 15 seconds.
4- Run the mixture through a sieve to separate and strands
and seed grit.
5- Pour the strained mixture into a bowl
6- Add grapefruit juice and extra virgin olive oil and use a hand whisk
to combine ingredients.
7- Now you are ready to create a salad and use this vinaigrette as
a dressing.
Try the vinaigrette with a fresh green salad or fruit salad.
Make your own
juice
All you need to make the juice is a blender and the following
ingredients:
6 passion
fruits (yellow and ripe)
turbinado sugar (to taste)
4 cups cold water
2 cups of ice cubes (preferably small cubes)
Directions:
1- Remove the pulp and place into a blender.
2- Add the cold water and blend for 45 seconds.
3- Strain the mixture to remove any seeds.
4- Stir in 2 cups of water and 2 cups of ice cubes.
5- Blend again.
6- Add the turbinado sugar to sweeten the juice to your taste
preference.
7- Use during the same day that is prepared or store in the
fridge for 2 to 3 days.
