2. Honey mixed with a few herbs such as cumin seeds powder and ginger is also known to be an excellent remedy. Cumin seeds have a history of use as a diuretic and as a high blood pressure remedy. Research has shown that the essential oil of cumin seeds may be a a powerful antihypertensive agent. For best results you would need to drink this mixture at least twice a day.

3. Maitake Mushroom - This mushroom has many beneficial effects, like lowering high blood pressure levels and also lowering cholesterol.  How much is the suggested? About 3 to 7 grams daily.
